Old stuff

I was born in 1982, in Harare, Zimbabwe, but have never lived there - my parents owned a farm about 80km north , near a small town called Banket. It was awesome growing up there, going to school very nearby, and making plenty of friends that I still call friends. Most of us banket boys still get together very often. I lived in Banket till I finished my A levels in 2000, when I went to study at Rhodes University, South Africa.
I finished by BSc degree in 2004, majoring in Geology, Geography and Environmental Science. Almost immediatley after that I moved back to Zim to work on a small gold mine, very near to where my folks now live (after being kicked off the farm in 2003). I was there untill early 2006, when I moved to South Africa, and married my wife, Dyanne (who had followed me all the way from Rhodes). With her also came the dog, Sam. After we were married we started working for a small geological consulting company, and was contracted to Angloplats, doing exploration work near Steelpoort, South Africa. Two months of working there on the Bushveld Complex was enough, so we then moved to Botswana. We were in a little bush exploration camp untill January 2007. It was fun, even if we were living in a tent.
That brings us up to now, when we are in a little town called Tsumeb, in northern Namibia.
The following posts will describe and show pictures of these places, but probably not in any kind of order!
